Last night and this morning, we celebrated Allan's 66th birthday. Yesterday, Elias Jabbour gave him cake, and the Hotel surprised him with a roman candle in baklava. This afternoon, at a special lunch hosted by the family of Ra'eb, our guide, he was surprised by yet another birthday cake! Happy birthday Allan, and don't expect Nancy to keep up with this year's celebrations come next year.
